Lead Chromithiocyanate

The normal salt has not been obtained. The addition of the potassium salt to a solution of lead acetate gives a red precipitate, which when dried over sulphuric acid has the composition Pb₃[Cr(SCN)₆]₂.4PbO.12H₂O. This, with water, becomes yellow, and forms the compound Pb₂[Cr₂(SCN)₁₀].4PbO.9H₂O.
