Cadmium Dichromate, CdCr2O7.H2O

Cadmium Dichromate, CdCr2O7.H2O, is obtained by saturating a cold solution of chromic acid with cadmium carbonate, and concentrating by evaporation, when orange-brown cubic crystals separate, which are readily soluble, without decomposition, in water.

The double salts, K2Cd(Cr2O7)2.2H2O and CdCr2O7.2Hg(CN)2.7H2O, have been described.
